Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the price?

The price includes a knowledgeable local guide, round-trip bus tickets, a semi-automatic 110cc motorcycle with fuel, bike insurance, meals, lodging, admission fees for attractions, and assistance for your motorcycle.

How many people are in the group tour?

Our tours typically have between 15 and 25 participants.

Do I need an international drivers license?

If you’re opting for self-riding, we recommend bringing your international driver’s license for motorbikes, if you have one. While we can’t guarantee complete safety from police checks, we’ll do our best to assist you, so please carry any licenses you have from your home country just to be safe.

Should I bring a towel?

Towels are supplied each night at the homestay, so bringing one isn’t essential. However, if you opt for the 4-day tour, you’ll have the chance to swim at a waterfall on the final day, so it’s a good idea to bring your own towel then!

Do many solo travelers join your tour?

Yes! The majority of our participants are solo adventurers, and our intimate group tours create a welcoming atmosphere that makes it simple for everyone to connect and build friendships.

When is the best time to do the loop?

The peak season runs from early March to mid-May and from mid-September to late November, but there’s no perfect time for a motorbike journey—each period offers its own unique benefits and challenges, including local festivals. Weather in the mountains can be unpredictable, with rain possible at any time, though it’s typically brief and often occurs in the late afternoon or evening during the rainy season in Northern Vietnam (June to mid-August). From late November to early March, temperatures drop, so you’ll want to bring warm clothing.

If I want to self ride, can I have my friend/partner on the back?

Yes, that’s possible, but we advise against it because of the challenging road conditions and to reduce the chances of accidents or injuries.
